Confidentiality and release of information

Absolute confidentiality is maintained. Privacy in your health care is as important to us as it is to you. All services provided by PIHC are confidential. All communication between you and your care provider is strictly confidential. Our staff is thoroughly trained in issues concerning privacy and confidentiality and their importance.

A confidential medical record is maintained for each patient. If you are 18 years or older, information cannot and will not be released, even to your parents, without your written permission. Information is released only with your written permission, upon a court ordered subpoena or in a life threatening situation.
